So I’m happy to say that Djahmbi has had a bit of a shot in the arm recently – we’ve gotten back to tracking, and I’ve been doing quite a bit of experimenting with some new drum creation software. I’m pretty happy with the results so far, and this new… approach? attitude? whatever it is, has supplied some good energy and momentum to these tunes.
I’ve put up one of my experimental test tracks for the song “Ross Mono” – this track is a messy, sloppy, way too busy, and overly heavy take that will serve as just an experiment (the final version of Ross Mono will have a much different vibe). But it was fun to put together! And for those interested in the Djahmbi project it’s kind of a fun tease of what hasn’t been forgotten with this long-ago song.
