For many years I’ve been working on a large number of projects, and as with many things each one has been a series of fits and starts and are still… ongoing. Lately I just keep coming back to the old cliche of wanting something done or done right… do it yourself, yadda yadda. So that’s where I am. I’ve decided to direct more of my creative efforts in the music / songwriting realm towards personal projects. They don’t accomplish what I enjoy out of collaborations, but they get more accomplished.
To help this along I decided to start doing a bit of promotion – for me, really. Just something to expose this to the outside world and build some accountability and pressure to follow through with this idea. The site is here: Wazatron.com It’s an official launch of “Wazatron”: me outside of the (virtual) walls of this studio. I’d say the first album is about 70% written, and then I’m going to mix and master it as well. This is as much of a learning experience as it is an “I’ll just do it myself!” statement. I’m not sure how it will turn out, and even though I’ve created this post-of-pressure for myself I still anticipate it will still be another 6 to 12 months before I finish. There’s just not a lot of time to dedicate to this.
All the same…
I’ll be posting updates as things happen that are worthy of updates. But until then… I am now committed. Let’s do this!
